Description Printed verso: "Medicine Lake is a phenomenon of nature in Jasper National Park, Canadian Rockies. Each Spring it is only a gravel bed, all its waters of the previous year having disappeard through natural underground drainage. In summer, Medicine Lake is as the photo shows, five miles long and 60 feet deep, and skirted by the highway to Maligne Lake.
