Book was reviewed at length in <i>Mission Life </i>on October 1, 1866, by the editor of <i>Mission Life </i>, under the title "A year's journey through the diocese of Rupert's Land: Being a review by the editor of the <i>North-West Passage over-land </i>." Milton's great-great-grandson, Michael Shaw Bond, was inspired to re-create the journey from Winnipeg and write an account: <i>Way out West: On the trail of an errant ancestor </i>, Toronto: McClelland & Stewart, 2001. <i>See also </i>Peel <xref>437</xref>, <xref>438</xref>, and <xref>445</xref>.
