Description John Balthes is originally from Transylvania, a region that was historically part of the Kingdom of Hungary, but is now in present-day Romania. He emigrated from Transylvania to Canada and describes his early years in his new home. Mr. Balthes attended night school in Windsor. He talks about invention of a priming aid and also describes how they obtained one of the first irrigation systems in Ontario.
