a) smooth length of tree bamboo on which is written "1st ___, billy stark's Curtis aeroplane, Vancouver, may 4 1912, property of Lloyd Bolton"; splinter is tied to varnished display board (b), to which is attached by 2 brass screws, a laminated plastic label reading "William stark, pioneer aviator, 1918, splinter from his bamboo aeroplane, crashed Hastings park 4th may 1918, presented by professor Lloyd Bolton, university of Santa Clara, who as a lad, wrote 'I saw it, billy starks' aeroplane, Vancouver, may 4 1912, property of Lloyd Bolton".
